This is a great verve album now cd from 1966 by brazilian bossa nova organist walter wanderley and his trio. Rain forest by walter wanderley 1932 1986 he was born in recife brazil. He had a smooth sophisticated sound with mostly breezy melodies that makes me think of xavier cugat though my husband calls it ice skating music. Wanderley gained notoriety in brazil in the 1960 s with his own group walter wanderley e seu conjunto and wrote arrangements for joão gilberto and antônio carlos jobim whose tunes he recorded.
